I try getting my kids involved in the kitchen and they usually like helping with the cooking.
Yesterday E wanted to bake a cake and since we had a couple of half browned bananas we decided upon a banana cake.
For the cake you need:
2 eggs
50 g sugar
200 g all-purpose flour
150 g butter (room temperature, not melted)
15 g baking powder
10 g vanilla sugar
1 ts cinnamon
2 mashed bananas
How to:
In a baking bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar, add flour, baking powder and vanilla sugar.
Mix the cinnamon spice with the mashed bananas and add into the bowl. Stir well before pouring the batter into a baking pan.
Place in preheated oven 180 c for about 25 minutes.
Let the cake rest and cool of before slicing.
We served it with maple sirup which was delicious.
Make a hot cup of tea to go with this perfect tuesday evening dessert.
